Pleased to announce our newest addition: Annabelle (MooMoo), a Jersey Dexter Cow, she is 4 years old and pregnant and due in April. We will be milking her for milk, cream and also making butter and cheese. She is a very calm cow and is halter trained so is a pleasure to have around. We were warned that she may bawl for the first few weeks since there are no other cows around, but as soon as she noticed the goats she was happy! She was originally a 4H calf and was on a farm with lots of kids and goats. We didn’t get our cattle shelter built in time that will be done before Spring. For now we split the barn in half and gave Sunny and Flower the goats half and Annabelle the other side to come into if the weather is bad. Here are some pictures!

I have been learning to play the Mbira this past year and working on a few original compositions. I was inspired to record a song today. The Sound quality isn’t the best. But the song is fun and full of energy. I hope you enjoy the days getting longer from now on. This is called Happy Solstice.
